Polyamide degassing is a process of polymer production, implying the need to remove residual monomers contained in the product after the reaction, such as, for example, caprolactam in the production of polyamide 6. Often during a time–consuming and expensive technological operation, residual monomers with a content of about 10-12% are washed out with hot, distilled water, after which they are again isolated from water and re-introduced into the technological process (extraction with hot water).

This extraction operation can be significantly simplified using MRS technology. Monomers can be removed from the polymer during the manufacturing process before granulation and immediately isolated so that they can be reintroduced into the manufacturing process. An additional technological operation – drying of granules is also excluded.
