Gneuss melt pressure sensors work according to the proven principle of strain gauge technology. The pressure is transferred from the measuring diaphragm (which is flush with the melt channel) through the capillary system to the second diaphragm. The capillary system is filled with mercury or mercury-free medium. The second diaphragm is equipped with a load cell. Using a linear change in resistance relative to the deviation, an electrical output signal is generated. The special membrane technology guarantees a very long service life even in the most difficult conditions. The anti-adhesive coating reduces the risk of damage by frozen plastic melts.
